Prepare for the 12-Mile AD Endurance Test
AD TITLE TRAINING
The AD is an endurance title that requires the dog to complete approximately 12 miles alongside a bicycle while demonstrating appropriate conditioning, control, and physical readiness.
Noble K9 helps handlers prepare progressively rather than trying to build distance too quickly. Conditioning is adjusted to the individual dog's age, fitness, structure, current workload, and readiness.
The goal is to prepare the dog responsibly for the physical and handling demands of the test.
Common AD Preparation Mistakes
Handlers may increase mileage too quickly, overlook surface and weather conditions, use inconsistent pacing, fail to prepare the dog for bicycle work, or focus on distance without enough attention to recovery and control.
A structured plan helps make conditioning more deliberate and easier to monitor.
